Healing: the energy that has no barriers or boundaries. As the PA Community and Wellbeing Centre heads towards the first anniversary of its opening, has the Centre aligned with the goals envisaged by owner and founder Paul Hamnett  as he worked with his team of enthusiastic and hard-working volunteers to transform a commercial unit in a typical small Spanish town into a haven of tranquility and healing? Paul has often spoken of his desire for the Centre to be, first and foremost, a place of physical, spiritual, emotional and mental healing, donation-based and not-for-profit, so that people of all ages from all backgrounds can access the services of its healers. The PA in the Centre’s name stands for Psychic Awareness, and this area is well covered with workshops, courses and demonstrations from local and visiting mediums. However, Paul and the team are anxious to emphasise that you don’t need to have any religious or spiritual associations to come to the Centre and access its services or just enjoy food, drink and company in the beautifully appointed Café Zen. The Centre’s doors are open to everyone, and more people are finding their way here every day. If you don’t know much about energy healing – which is how we at the centre describe healing modalities such as Reiki, Angelic Reiki, Reflexology and other forms of hands-on and distance healing - here’s what you might expect. None of our volunteer healers will ever attempt to make a diagnosis or discourage you from seeking professional medical treatment. Before receiving healing, you’ll be asked to fill in a confidential form so we know about any health condi?ons you may be living with and anything else you think we should know about you before you step into one of our purpose-built, comfortable treatment rooms. Sadly, if you don’t comply with this protocol, we can’t offer you healing, but we can help you complete the form, so don’t worry about that. Energy healing is complementary to any other treatments you may require, not a

replacement for therapies suggested by qualified medical practitioners. You’ll be made comfortable, on one of our treatment beds or in a chair if that’s more appropriate, and you’ll be fully clothed, with one or more healers trea?ng you. Typically, a healing session lasts around half an hour, but this can vary at the discre?on of the healer, who will make sure you’re comfortable with what is happening at every stage. How the session proceeds depends on the type of healing being given and the intuition and customary practice of the healer. At Divine and Healing services, due to time constraints, healing lasts for just a couple of minutes, but it will s?ll be effective and good to experience, since the whole of the congrega?on are asked to send healing energy as well, and combined energy amplifies significantly. For example, if 20 people are focused on sending healing energy, the power of that energy is much more than that of 20 individuals sending healing separately. So, what’s the actual healing experience like? Just like conven?onal treatment, it’s different for everyone, because everyone is different, but one common experience is the profoundsense of relaxation and inner peace that comes from a healing session. You may find you get emotional, or cough, or sneeze, even if you don’t have a cold, but don’t worry, this is just your body and mind releasing energy it doesn’t need. Energy healing keeps on giving, because for hours or even days afterwards, you’ll feel the benefits. And of course it’s totally drug free, so there won’t be any unwanted side effects to cope with. All energy healers work with Universal energy, and we’re conduits for that energy, so as healers we also benefit from the healing energy we channel to you. Our healers can also recommend specific modali?es of healing that may be beneficial for you, for example we may suggest consulting a massage therapist, hypnotherapist, or other holistic practitioners. It’s up to you whether you take our suggestions on board, but remember that while all our healers at the Centre work on a free will dona?on basis, whereby you only pay what you can afford, therapists we suggest will charge for their services, and we have no influence on that. Here at the Centre we embrace technology when it helps with healing, and we’re proud to be able to offer frequency healing through our state-of-the-art machines. All we need from you is a sterile fingernail trimming, and our machines can help you heal. You don’t even need to be here at the Centre to receive the healing! One of our trained operators can explain in detail how it works, and answer any questions, and we’ve already had some very encouraging results. One client saw a rapid reduction in her blood pressure, and now for the first time in many years she doesn’t have to take medication to regulate it. There’s a suggested minimum donation for this service, to cover the cost of installing and maintaining the machines. Another machine we love helps with diagnosis using quantum magnetic science. Just by grasping a rod, the machine can diagnose up to 350 conditons in around a minute, and also identify food intolerances, allergies and other health challenges. We work with a prac??oner in this field, and we’ve seen impressive results for our clients. There’s a charge for this service, but once the diagnos?c report is available, we can help advise on your next steps and support you on your healing journey. It may sound strange that you can have healing without actually being present while it happens, as with the frequency machine, but distance healing is something that’s always on our agenda here at the Centre, and it doesn’t necessarily involve technology! At both our 11.00 am Sunday morning Divine Service and our Friday Healing Service at 11.30 am, we read names from our Healing Book, suggested by visitors to the Centre who request healing for friends and rela?ves who could be anywhere in the world. Then we all set the inten?on to send healing to them, and spend ?me doing exactly that. Remember, our healing is energy-based, and energy is not confined to the physical body; it can be projected to the intended recipient, wherever they happen to be. We oEen get feedback from people whohave felt a change in their energy and an improvement in their symptoms, and some?mes they can even pinpoint the ?me they received the healing. We love it when that happens! Paul Hamne= is delighted with the contribu?on the PA Community and Wellbeing Centre is making to health and happiness locally in Los Montesinos and beyond. People come for healing from miles away – Murcia, Benidorm, Pinoso, Orihuela Costa, to name but a few places where the Centre reaches those who need us. In fact, people who know of the Centre through friends or from finding us online call ahead and book healing sessions while they’re here on holiday. We es?mate that, through our services, circles, individual and distance healing, we help at least 40 individuals each week, possibly many more. Every day, new people find us, and every day, we offer healing to whoever asks for it. While it’s best if an appointment is arranged, so we can be sure there are enough healers available, we’ll never turn away anyone in need of healing.
